Few months ago, me and my classmates were assigned with this one assignment which is to prepare a ‘lyrics video’. I wanted to do something that can give me satisfaction and sweet memory that I can always reminisce later. So, I decided to do a music video instead of a simple lyrics video.
First of all, I had to choose the location of where I wanted to record the video and also the song that I wanted to use. I chose Shah Alam as the location – it’s because Shah Alam is one of the cities that I grew up at (the other one is Puncak Alam). And for the song, I chose ‘Afraid’ by the Neighbourhood – one of my favourite bands.
For the casts of the music video, I asked my friends to be the casts and fortunately, they were all agree. The casts for the music video – me (Syafiq Latif), Fadzlyn Shahirah, Nur Adlina Ariffin and Fitri Syahmim. Meanwhile, Ameera Azman was the person who behind the camera and be the camerawoman.
The music video is in black and white because I want to do the music video based on the band’s theme which is ‘black and white’. The Neighbourhood uses this theme instead of their faces or names and I think this is so unique.
The story about this music video is about a man who finds something written on his hand which is ‘FEAR’. But the music doesn’t explain what he fears of. So, to know what he fears of, you should watch the music video that I made months ago with the help of my friends. Go check it out.
